During my time as Web Implementation Manager and Website Manager, I was responsible for managing two key projects for the ICAEW website (icaew.com) – an interim website re-design and a major website re-development.
Interim re-design
This involved managing the design, development and delivery of
- New template and homepage layouts to meet brand requirements.
- Improved homepage layout and website navigation.
- New homepage functionality.
- Integrated advertising/sponsorship on key web pages.
Major website re-development
This included:
- Selection and implementation of a new web content management system:
- Identifying and prioritising functionality requirements.
- Reviewing potential systems and selecting a CMS (Sitecore).
- Working with third-party agency and in-house development teams on specification and implementation of the CMS.
- Full audit and restructure of website content:
- Liaising with business owners to identify key content requirements.
- Designing a new information architecture.
- Managing the content development process, including creation of new content and editing of existing content.
- Communicating with stakeholders and managing expectations.
